Political Cartoons

This one is old but I still really like it and think it holds true today. The way the artist laid it all out is perfect to me. It leads your eye from the bubbles straight to George Bush opening the door into Iran to let all the soldiers through from Iraq. I really love political cartoons in the way that they tell a much bigger story  than some whole news articles, but in only a few words.

This is one I also really like. Its about the death of the economy. It shows Barack Obama as the doctor with a stethoscope saying "he's recovering nicely." Its to show how Barack Obama is somewhat clueless (or acts like he is) about the state of our economy and how its much worse for the citizens than he thinks it is. I think the oversized ears and stupid looking grin are a bit much, but hey, its a cartoon!

Last but not least, This is one of my favorites. It shows Obama basically shoving money down this giant fat man's throat. The money being the country's spending and the fat man being our country's debt. I really like the way the artist put the donkey and elephant into it as well, incorporating the two political party's animal's into the cartoon. I also like how the drawings of the face are more serious as opposed to goofy and more like caricatures with giant features. It gives it a more serious tone. I think political cartoons are a great way to get your message across. I think it especially helps people who are not into politics at all get an understanding on things that they might not have just heard. Some things you have to see.
